FiFi Recipes for Apple TV — effective September 2025.
Nothing. The app collects no personal information, no analytics, and no usage data.
Your chosen language and cooking progress are stored locally on your Apple TV (standard app preferences). Nothing is uploaded.
The app downloads public recipe data and images from fifi.cooking (static files on GitHub Pages) and loads video links from YouTube. These requests include your IP address and standard HTTP headers, like any web request.
Recipe videos open in the YouTube app when installed; YouTube’s own privacy policy applies there.
Kids mode contains no accounts, no purchases, and no data collection.
The app is maintained by Ahmed Abdel Aal for the family of Dr. Fatma Alkawokgy. Ahmed Abdel Aal is the controller of any personal data described here and the person responsible for privacy, including under Quebec's Law 25. Contact: support@fifi.cooking.
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, request data seen by our hosts (GitHub Pages and Cloudflare) is processed on the basis of legitimate interests in delivering and protecting the service (art. 6(1)(f)); settings kept on your device are strictly necessary for features you use. These providers are in the United States and rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those words are used in California law, and we make no automated decisions about people.
Depending on where you live, you may ask to know, access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you (in practice, only emails you send), withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, and receive a copy, under laws including Canada's PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25, the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act and other U.S. state laws, and Brazil's LGPD. Write to support@fifi.cooking; we answer within 30 days. You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information, your EU data protection authority, the UK ICO or the California Privacy Protection Agency.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher age set by local law). If a child has emailed us, a parent or guardian can ask us to delete it.
